In the press: Eddisbury MP commends Malpas business award win

A MALPAS based business has been praised by the MP for Eddisbury after winning a Princess Royal Training Award.

Antoinette Sandbach MP is celebrating Barlows winning the award, after the business was recognised for creating a lasting impact by successfully linking their skills development needs to the company’s performance.

The electrical business puts training at the heart of its strategy with 95 per cent of its staff having undertaken an apprenticeship.

The business has grown solidly for the past 25 years, even during recession periods and the training programme is embedded and integrated in the business and led passionately from the top-down, meaning that work is done ‘the Barlows way’.
