On Thursday 24 November, we celebrated the very first Princess Royal Training Awards recipients at St James’s Palace. The Awards were presented by HRH The Princess Royal and recognise organisations in the UK that have created lasting impact by successfully linking their skills development needs to business performance.
From prestigious car manufacturers to small innovative businesses, all 33 awarded organisations demonstrated that training can make a significant impact on productivity and business success. Find out more about the first year of the Awards.
City & Guilds Group Chief Executive, Chris Jones said: ‘All of the successful organisations deserve enormous praise. I hope these awards have shone a light on how important it is for businesses to invest in training to boost their productivity, address skills gaps and develop their leaders. This has never mattered more than in today’s uncertain economy. I hope this year’s winners inspire other organisations to share their experiences, and put forward their training and development success stories.’
Applications for 2017 will be accepted from 3 January-31 March. The Princess Royal Training Awards are free to enter and open to UK organisations of all shapes and sizes.
