Since achieving an Award in 2021, this charity which supports those affected by childhood trauma, has continued to use its Foundation Degree Award in therapeutic work with children and young people. In the past three years referrals to the 52-week provision have dramatically increased and a second Children’s Home has opened with the entire leadership team coming from the pool of Foundation Degree Award graduates.

The Working with Trauma programme was created to improve the quality of training across the whole staff team. Through self-reflection and continued coaching support employees have developed confidence and are more resilient to tackle difficult situations. The outstanding results are evidenced by the Ofsted inspections and improved outcomes for the children.
