About the Awards
Training is at the core of every successful business. It allows you to recruit better staff, retain quality colleagues and future proof your talent pipeline.
It’s the investment that offers a return time and time again.
We are delighted to offer this prestigious award, in line with the City & Guilds Foundation’s values, to employers in the UK and Ireland who can prove that their outstanding training and skills development programmes have resulted in exceptional benefits for their business.
Who can apply?
You need to be able to prove that your outstanding training and skills development programmes have resulted in exceptional commercial benefits for the business.
You should also be able to evidence how training and developing your staff and / or volunteers has had a positive impact.
Applying for a Princess Royal Training Award will provide you with the opportunity to reflect on what you have achieved through your investment in training. We provide one-to-one support through the application process and all applicants receive detailed and tailored written feedback on their application, which has been described as ‘free consultancy’.
Achieving this prestigious Award allows you to be externally recognised for your achievements and sets you apart from your competitors. Recipients of the Award are invited to display the award logo on their websites, business and recruitment communications and products, bringing industry-wide recognition. You will also join the community of excellence providing access to a network of nearly 500 recipients from over 300 organisations who, like you, believe in the huge value of training and development.
Our alumni include John Lewis & Partners, IBM, Dermalogica, The Coop, RBS, GSK. All trusted the standard of excellence that the Awards set out. See all of our recipients here.
The application process
If your application meets the criteria we will visit your organisation to hear more about your achievements, or you will receive a detailed feedback report. The Chief Assessor will make recommendations to HRH The Princess Royal who has the final decision about which organisations meet the Award’s standard of excellence.
